Fall Remains

Fall remains, Monotype

Description

This introductory workshop in monotype explores new ways of making marks by using inks mixed to varying degrees of fluidity. Ink knives and other drawing instruments, along with brushwork, brayers, and stencils, allow you to create prints that reflect your personal mark-making. Monotype's enormous versatility encourages rapid development of images that easily build on one another, resulting in a series of prints related in subject matter, color, and marks. Reusable mylar plates cut to any size or shape enable you to create complex imagery in multiple colors, supported by great detail. In this collaborative workshop we will be focused on exchanging visual ideas and techniques, problem-solving and fun! You should expect to produce 5-10 prints during the weekend. Enrollment is limited to 4 students.
$25 materials fee covers all materials except individual printing papers.
